In the lead-up to the 2017 Western Australian state election (11 March 2017), AREEA sought and received assurances from Leader of the Opposition, Mark McGowan, on key policies that would impact resource employers if the WA Labor Party forms government.
Correspondence from AREEA chief executive Steve Knott highlighted the critical role our members play for Western Australia and the nation more broadly, and sought clarification on various policy issues which the WA Labor Party has had changing positions.
