Is your organisation looking to raise its profile with the next generation and promote its diverse and rewarding careers?
You can get involved as AREEA’s Bright Future STEM program continues to grow and evolve, with expanded initiatives, and new and improved activities to inspire the next-gen resources and energy workforce.
Opportunities still exist for the Bright Future STEM team to visit one of your key areas and help showcase your organisation to your local communities.
If you are passionate about the resources and energy sector and its STEM-focussed future, there are a number of different ways to get involved, including by sharing your career journey and advice (in-person or remotely) or becoming a STEM activity coach through our portfolio of student challenges. You could inspire our future workforce through a role model case study, feature in an episode of our upcoming Bright Future STEM Kids TV series, or sponsor a STEM in-school pack.
The program can be delivered face-to-face or remotely via digital, ensuring students from across the country are learning more about the future-focussed, technologically advanced roles that will rely on the skills of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) maestros.
In 2021 the program reached 3657 students in 36 schools across Australia, making it now 7000 students who experienced the Bright Future STEM program to date.
Help us drive a brighter skills future for our industry
Resources and energy employers know the importance of raising awareness of our industry amongst young Australians and the critical need to build the future pipeline of home-grown skills.
This is why AREEA continues encouraging students across Australia to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects to nurture the talent required to fuel our industry’s future.
AREEA’s Bright Future STEM program is bringing to life STEM subjects through a series of stimulating activities and industry role models (particularly female), all linking STEM back to real jobs in the resources and energy industry.
Why should your organisation get involved?
- Boost your organisation’s profile and engagement with schools, teachers, parents, and students that will become our sector’s next-gen workforce.
- Promote your organisation’s interest in STEM careers and the diverse and rewarding employment opportunities within the resources and energy industry.
If your company is interested in participating in the program, we would love to hear from you.
