Driven by its members’ relentless drive to stamp-out abhorrent and inappropriate behaviours, this November AREEA is hosting a National Industry Forum to tackle all the issues concerning workplace sexual harassment in the resources and energy industry.
Taking place in three one-hour blocks on November 8, 15 and 22, this National Industry Forum is reserved for people professionals, managers and executives from across Australia’s mining, oil and gas and allied servicing sectors.
Sessions will include guest industry presentations on contemporary best practice initiatives, investigation of where the industry is making progress and where it is failing, and development of future industry and government interventions.
The National Industry Forum will culminate with the creation of a National Industry Taskforce to drive accountability, new initiatives and cultural improvement across the sector.
AREEA is now calling for expressions of interest to both attend the National Industry Forum and to present an initiative, policy or practice to the broad industry group:
Due to strong preliminary interest, spots will be allocated to the most senior representative nominated from each organisation. A full program will be circulated in the coming week.
