Australian Resources and Energy Group AREEA has bolstered its national advisory team with the appointment of three highly-experienced workplace relations professionals.

AREEA is pleased to announce the appointment of:

• Saskia Verity – Manager Workplace Relations (Perth)
• Amanda Kaczmarek – Senior Workplace Relations Adviser (Perth)
• Loretta O’Brien – Senior Workplace Relations Adviser (Melbourne)

The trio bring a diverse array of skills and experience to complement AREEA’s National Workplace Advisory team.

In their respective roles, they will engage with AREEA members on a range of important workplace relations, workforce and human resources matters, while working to assist the industry with realising the many opportunities on the horizon.

Saskia Verity

Sas joins AREEA as Manager, Workplace Relations in the Perth office. She previously worked as Employee Relations Manager with MMA Offshore, a specialist provider of marine solutions and expertise to the offshore oil and gas industry. Sas is a HR leadership professional with significant remote and high-risk organisational experience and extensive involvement across logistically challenging industries including mining, energy, marine/maritime, rail, road transport and corrections in a variety of operational, HSEQ and human resources leadership roles.

Amanda Kaczmarek

An experienced workplace relations lawyer, Amanda joins AREEA as Senior Workplace Relations Adviser, based in the Perth office. She joins AREEA from the Australian Medical Association. Amanda has extensive experience in enterprise bargaining and workplace disputes, including representation before the WA Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Commission and Federal Court of Australia. She also brings an array of human resources support experience, including recruitment, employment obligations and performance management. Amanda has recently completed her Masters in Employment and Labour Relations.

Loretta O’Brien

Loretta joins AREEA as Senior Workplace Relations Adviser, based in the Melbourne office. She previously worked at Beach Energy in the position of Senior HR Business Partner. Loretta has deep experience in assisting organisations and leaders to develop high performance teams aligned to corporate strategies. She has a proven track record of leading operational and corporate divisions to successfully navigate complex operational change programs during challenging business environments.
