AREEA’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide members with a valuable closed network for discussion and advice relating to a special area of interest or sub-sector within the Australian resource industry.

Our SIGs provide a peer-to-peer setting for members with a common interest to discuss specific industry trends, voice issues, share knowledge and shape AREEA’s policy and lobbying efforts.

This meeting of the AREEA Service Contractors Special Interest Group is for members which provide services to client in the mining and hydrocarbons sectors, to be briefed on and discuss the latest developments in relation to:

1. Multi-employer bargaining.
2. Regulated Labour Hire Arrangement Orders (“same job same pay”).
3. Right to Disconnect laws.
4. Changes to casuals and contracting laws.
5. CFMEU in administration – any impacts?
6. New Delegates Rights provisions.
7. Enterprise bargaining trends and general union activities/campaigns.
