Delia Troy is a senior subsea inspection specialist and technical leader within Australia’s offshore and subsea engineering sector. As a Principal Inspection Engineer and Underwater Inspection Controller at Fugro Australia, she brings more than 20 years of experience in asset integrity management, inspection engineering and corrosion control across both onshore and offshore environments.
Troy began her career in 2001 with an onshore corrosion engineering company, where she was first introduced to asset integrity management. Developing a strong interest in the discipline, she transitioned into the offshore subsea inspection industry in 2008. Since then, she has built deep technical expertise supporting the inspection and integrity of critical offshore infrastructure, including achieving 3.4u Underwater Inspection Controller certification, along with qualifications in Coating Inspection and Cathodic Protection Monitoring, including AMPP (NACE) Level 1 CP.
Troy’s career has been notably global in scope. She has worked across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, gaining exposure to diverse regulatory environments, operating conditions and asset types. In recent years, as the oil and gas sector has evolved toward greener and more digitally enabled operations, Troy has transitioned to working from an onshore Remote Operations Centre. This shift reflects both industry change and her adaptability, allowing her to continue contributing to offshore inspection excellence while supporting more flexible working models.
As a contemporary trailblazer, Delia Troy exemplifies technical leadership and adaptability in a highly specialised field, helping to strengthen the safety, reliability and sustainability of offshore energy infrastructure.![]()
