Stephanie is leading AREEA’s expanding national programs in the areas of workforce wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, people and culture, and artificial intelligence. She manages four of AREEA’s industry advisory boards and working groups, which bring together leaders from across Australia’s resources and energy industry to address workforce challenges and opportunities.
Stephanie also leads AREEA’s A New Horizon Thought Leadership Series, which examines major workforce trends shaping Australia’s resources and energy industry. Recent volumes have explored demographics and generational change, culture and leadership, workforce megatrends, and the evolution of work, with current research focusing on artificial intelligence.
Stephanie has worked as a geophysicist in the field and managed geophysics, IT and QHSE projects, including a program that won a 2019 WA Health and Safety Excellence Award for best workplace health and well-being initiative. She holds qualifications in psychology, physics, management and work health and safety, including a PhD from the University of Western Australia. She is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders, a Senior Member and Certified Professional of the Australian Computer Society, a Certified Human Factors and Ergonomics Professional, and an Accredited Research Manager (Foundation) of the Australasian Research Management Society.
Stephanie further contributes to professional discussions on artificial intelligence and workforce impacts through committee roles with the Australian Computer Society, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia, and the Australasian Research Management Society.
