Javier Gonzales, AI Domain Principal at Hancock Iron Ore, explores the practical integration of Artificial Intelligence into organisational systems, processes, and risk management frameworks, with a particular focus on the resources and energy sector.

Javier has over two decades of experience across mining, utilities, logistics, and government, specialising in leading end-to-end AI, analytics, and automation solutions. Previously, as Analytics, Automation and AI Manager at Synergy, he developed the company’s enterprise AI strategy and governance framework.

Javier holds an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business and a Computer Science degree. Drawing on real-world applications, this webinar examines how AI-powered tools can streamline operational workflows, enhance decision-making, and drive efficiency across complex organisations. The session will also address the critical importance of embedding AI governance into existing risk management structures,  covering algorithmic bias, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and workforce transition risks.
