Gender Equality Targets with Mary Wooldridge (CEO) and Dr Samone McCurdy (Insights and Capability Executive Manager) at WGEA
October 16, 2025 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm AEST
QLD: 12.30pm – 1.30pm | WA: 10.30am – 11.30am | NSW/VIC: 1.30pm – 2.30pm
From March 2025, employers with 500+ employees must set and meet, or show progress against, gender equality targets under amendments to the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012. This shift presents both opportunities and risks for people and culture leaders – with performance, brand and reputation all in play.

Mary Wooldridge and Dr Samone McCurdy from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), will unpack what this means for resources and energy employers. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from WGEA, gain clarity on the new requirements, and ask questions relevant to your organisation.
Mary Wooldridge is CEO of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, with a distinguished career spanning government, business, and the not-for-profit sector. She is a former Victorian Minister for Mental Health, Community Services and Women’s Affairs, where she led major reforms to advance gender equality, support vulnerable communities, and drive systemic change.

Dr Samone McCurdy is a gender equality strategist with deep expertise in gender programming, leadership development, and inclusive workplace reform. She has advised government, NGOs, and business on gender impact and strategy, and was the inaugural Gender Equality Adviser at Victoria Police, where she led the organisation’s first gender equality strategy under the Victorian Gender Equality Act.
